One Homeless Man. One Stranger. One Incredible Act Of Compassion.
One day a woman saw a homeless man and gave him $20 and two bags of food. She kept in touch with him over the next few weeks, and could see that he was committed to turning his life around, so he took him to a motel where she would put him up for nearly three months while he worked on getting back on his feet. The comprehensive, sustained support she provided him would make all the difference in the world.
Over those few months the man was able to find a job, started taking care of his physical and mental health, and slowly began being able to provide for himself again. He enrolled in college, found stable housing, and two years later earned his college degree with honors while working two jobs.
Forever changed by the compassion of the woman, he knew what he was called to do going forward in life: pay forward the incredible act of kindness that had been done for him. TY4YK is the result of that mission, its purpose to foster similar acts both large and small in order to make a lasting impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

Our vision and mission:
At TY4YK, we envision a world where kindness and service transform lives and communities.
What does this look like? Neighbors helping neighbors. Strangers helping strangers. Communities bonding together to meet the needs of the underserved, and working together to find the solutions to do so.
Our mission is to be a catalyst for compassionate change – touching the hearts of those in need and making a lasting impact on their lives.
What does this look like? We are dedicated to fostering a culture of compassion by focusing on acts of kindness both large and small. Kindness initiatives, awareness, and simple reminders that you might not be able to change someone’s whole life, but you sure can change a moment for the better with just a bit of kindness
